Information for speakers

General information about presentations
In order to ensure the greatest possible diversity, each person may submit up to two presentations for the conference. Each person may only submit one application to organize an ad hoc group. This also applies to co-authors of contributions. Activities as a juror, moderator, or organizer of congress events are not considered presentations, provided that they only involve introductory remarks to the event. Moderators, organizers, and jurors of plenary events may not speak at their own events, with the exception of short introductions.

All speakers and organizers must officially register as participants in the conference. Organizers must be members of the DGS.
If you would like to apply for DGS membership and take advantage of the Early Bird registration rate for the DGS Congress, please submit your membership application no later than Sunday, 31 May 2026 (received by the DGS Executive Office either by email to JanDirk.Hoffmann(at)kwi-nrw.de or by post).

DGS members benefit from a reduced congress registration fee. The Early Bird rate is available until 31 May 2026.

Unfortunately, membership applications received after this date cannot be processed before the end of the Early Bird registration period. Please note that membership in a DGS section alone does not entitle participants to the reduced congress fee for DGS members.

Presentation details must be submitted by the chairs of the respective sessions via the Converia congress platform by 11 May 2026.

Information about the conference book
After the conference, all speakers will be asked by the editors of the proceedings to write up their presentations so that they can be published in the conference book.
