General Information on Presentations

  • May 11, 2026 – Deadline for submitting speaker names, presentation titles, and abstracts for plenary, section, and ad hoc sessions, Author-Meets-Critics, special events, the social program, and general meetings on the Converia conference platform
  • To ensure the greatest possible diversity, up to two presentations per person are permitted at the conference. Each person may submit only one application to organize an ad hoc group.
  • Only one of the two presentations may be a plenary presentation. This also applies to co-authorships on contributions. Activities as a juror, moderator, or organizer of conference events do not count as presentations, provided they consist solely of introductory remarks to the event. Moderators, organizers, and jurors of plenary events may not present at their own event, with the exception of brief introductions.
  • All speakers and organizers must officially register as participants in the conference. Organizers must be members of the GSA.
  • For section events, the new rule is that multiple sections may organize joint events: Collaborations with other sections are strongly encouraged, but each such event counts as a single event for all participating sections. HOWEVER: If at least four sections organize a joint event, an additional time slot may be requested for it. The two time slots for this event will then share the same title and be divided into Part 1 and Part 2. Requests must be submitted to the GSA office.
