Arrival

The 43rd Congress of the German Sociological Association will take place on the campus of Johannes Gutenberg University. Check-in will be on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 3 p.m. in the foyer of the Rheingoldhalle (Rheinstraße 66, 55116 Mainz) and from Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 8 a.m. in the red information box on the Gutenberg Campus (at the intersection of Johann-Joachim-Becher-Weg and Johannes-v.-Müller-Weg).

... by public transport

The best way to reach the Gutenberg Campus is to get off at the main station and take the bus or tram from there:

51 (towards Lerchenberg)
53 (towards Lerchenberg)
59 (towards Mainz University of Applied Sciences)

For the journey from the main train station to the stops ›Universität Haupteingang,‹ ›Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer-Weg,‹ or ›Botanischer Garten,‹ a so-called short-distance ticket is sufficient, which is cheaper than the normal fare.
